Recover. Rebuild. Thrive.
Standing Beside People When It Matters Most
At Fletchers Solicitors, Recover. Rebuild. Thrive. reflects how we support people after life-changing injury. It recognises that recovery isn’t just about legal outcomes, but about helping individuals and families navigate uncertainty, regain confidence and rebuild their lives, following catastrophic injury.
For Julia Eyton, a Partner and Serious Injury FCILEX , this philosophy underpins everything she does. Through her work supporting clients with catastrophic injuries — and her close partnership with The Amputation Foundation — Julia helps ensure people feel supported, informed and empowered at some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Expertise Focused on Life After Serious Injury
Julia supports individuals who have sustained life-changing injuries following accidents and collisions, including amputation, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and serious orthopaedic injuries/complex trauma. Her work often involves helping clients navigate a future that looks very different from the one they had imagined.
“Every case involves someone trying to make sense of a new reality,” Julia explains. “My role is to guide clients through that uncertainty — not just legally, but practically and emotionally — so they can start to rebuild their lives with confidence.”
Serious injury claims can be complex and long-term, but Julia is committed to ensuring clients never feel overwhelmed by the process. From the outset, she focuses on understanding what truly matters to each individual and what support they need at that specific point in their recovery.
“I work closely with medical professionals, rehabilitation experts, case managers and charities to help ensure clients have access to the right treatment, rehabilitation and financial support at the right time. Securing early rehabilitation and interim payments can make a huge difference — not just for the physical injuries, but also for the emotional injuries.”
Why Serious Injury Law Matters
For Julia, serious injury law is about restoring a sense of control when it feels like everything has been taken away.
“After a serious injury, people are often dealing with fear, uncertainty and a loss of independence,” she says. “Being able to offer clarity, reassurance and a sense of direction during that time is incredibly important.”
Supporting clients through these moments — and seeing them gradually regain confidence and independence — is what continues to motivate her work.
“It’s a privilege to remain beside people during some of the most challenging periods of their lives and help them move forward.”
Working closely with the Amputation Foundation
A key part of Julia’s work is her close involvement with The Amputation Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting people living with limb loss through peer support and lived experience.
“Amputation affects far more than someone’s physical health,” Julia explains. “It impacts confidence, identity, relationships and everyday life. The Amputation Foundation provides support that truly understands those challenges, because it’s shaped by people who have lived through them.”
The charity supports individuals shortly after amputation and throughout their ongoing recovery, offering community hubs where people can connect, share experiences and rebuild confidence in a supportive environment.
“The sense of community they provide is invaluable. It helps people realise they’re not alone and that there is life —— after amputation.”
Julia worked closely with the Amputation Foundation, Fletchers Foundation and Proactive Prosthetics to help one individual and provide a unique package to fund an individual’s private provision, who went onto represent England Amputee Lionesses in amputee football league.

Working in Partnership to Make a Difference
As a legal partner, Fletchers Solicitors supports The Amputation Foundation financially, but Julia highlights that our relationship goes far beyond just funding.
“We attend and support community groups, take part in fundraising initiatives, and work alongside other firms on the charity’s legal panel to raise awareness of the support available,” she says. “We also attend regular panel meetings, which helps us stay informed about how the charity is growing and where additional support is needed.”
That collaboration ensures clients are supported holistically — not just through the legal process, but throughout their wider recovery journey.
The Amputation Foundation has been built to provide support to other amputee’s, their practical approach, their vision to help others mirrors Julia’s own vision, Julia is proud to be supporting the Amputation Foundation and help individuals rebuild their lives.
Recover. Rebuild. Thrive. in Practice
For Julia, “Recovery isn’t linear, and it’s rarely just physical, clients may need rehabilitation, prosthetics, psychological support, home adaptations, financial stability or help reconnecting with their community.”
Often, it’s the smaller moments that make the biggest difference.
“Knowing where to turn for help, feeling supported, and being given the space and tools to move forward at their own pace can completely change how someone feels about their future.”
Helping Clients Move Beyond Recovery
For Julia, thriving looks different for every client.
“For some people, it’s returning to work or regaining independence. For others, it’s rebuilding confidence, adapting to change, or simply feeling hopeful again.”
What matters most is helping clients feel supported and empowered to move forward.
“If someone feels understood, informed and confident enough to move forward — however small— then I know we’re making a real difference.”
Recover. Rebuild. Thrive. — A Commitment to the Whole Journey
At Fletchers Solicitors, Recover. Rebuild. Thrive. reflects a commitment to supporting clients through every stage of life after serious injury. It’s about recognising that recovery involves physical, emotional and practical support — and that people need more than legal advice to rebuild their lives.
Through expert legal guidance, early rehabilitation, close partnerships with charities like The Amputation Foundation, and compassionate support in the moments that matter, Fletchers helps clients find stability, confidence and a renewed sense of possibility.
For Julia, that commitment is personal:
“Helping people feel supported, understood and hopeful — especially when life feels overwhelming, I often meet clients at their lowest point in their lives following serious injury, advising and supporting them through their journey— is why I do this work.”
