The incident

While riding his motorcycle near his home in Gloucestershire, another driver collided with Stuart, striking the side of his leg and throwing him from his bike. The collision left Stuart with severe injuries to his leg and began a recovery journey that would take years rather than months. The physical injuries were significant, but for Stuart, some of the greatest challenges were emotional and mental.

The Settlement

Before the collision, martial arts had been a major part of Stuart’s life. However, his injuries meant he could no longer participate in the way he once had.

Determined to find an alternative, he turned to mountain biking.
Purchasing an electric mountain bike proved to be a turning point.
For the first time since the collision, he was able to enjoy the outdoors without constantly worrying about physical limitations.
