It sounds like a cliche, but when something like this happens to you, that affects your whole, entire life and turns it upside down, it makes you realise what's important.

The incident

In June 2013, Sam’s life changed in an instant. While riding home from work, he was involved in a serious motorcycle collision when a car knocked him from his bike. Sam was airlifted to hospital and placed in a coma for a week. He then spent almost two months in hospital recovering from multiple injuries, the most significant injury was the loss of his leg.

If anyone ever had a motorbike accident that I knew, I would definitely put them in touch with Fletchers Solicitors. I will eventually get back on a motorbike; I still like them and I know that the accident wasn't my fault.

The Settlement

During his claim, Fletchers Solicitors secured an interim payment that allowed Sam to access specialist rehabilitation and advanced prosthetic support. This gave him access to equipment and treatment that made a significant difference to his recovery.

New prosthetic limbs were more comfortable and allowed him to move more freely.
Working towards gaining his private helicopter licence, combining his love of adventure with a new perspective on the world around him.
Sam hopes to one day use his flying experience to support air ambulance services himself.
