In my role, I handle a wide range of cases including cancer misdiagnosis, orthopaedic injuries, obstetrics/gynaecology errors, surgical mistakes, and avoidable deaths. I also assist a Partner with a wrongful birth claim and is responsible for supervising and developing junior team members, offering guidance and support throughout their development.

I’m deeply committed to my clients, offering compassionate support during difficult times and working tirelessly to achieve the best outcomes. Amongst her many achievements, my career highlights include securing a £885,000 settlement for a client with a terminal cancer diagnosis, enabling them to pass peacefully knowing their family was financially secure and could remain in their family home after their passing. I’ve also obtained full liability admissions in a wrongful birth claim, sparing my client the ordeal of a liability trial.

My clients come to me after the most terrible things have happened to them. They are desperate for answers and are looking for someone to hold their hand and guide them through a claim. It is a privilege for me to look after very vulnerable clients. For me, I want to be the lighthouse in their storm, offering strength, resilience, encouragement, reliability and guidance.

Nothing is too much trouble and I aim to go above and beyond in every way possible. I show dedication to my clients and passion for making a difference are at the heart of my practice. It’s important to me, to build a relationship of trust with her clients, to ensure that they feel listened to and understood, and to hold their hand every step of the way. I take the time to get to know my clients, their families and their stories. I aim to learn what is important to my clients and ensure that they know they have someone in their corner, to fight for answers and for justice.

I settled this claim for £1.19 million for a lady who suffered an avoidable terminal diagnosis for a delay in diagnosis and treatment of her breast cancer. As a result of her avoidable terminal diagnosis, my client had a significantly reduced life expectancy. My client’s career was incredibly important to her. She missed out on promotion opportunities and would have to stop working long before she wanted to.

ANON v NHS Foundation Trust

I settled this claim for £885,000. This claim related to a delay in diagnosing the client’s breast cancer. The client was denied the opportunity of receiving curative treatment of her breast cancer, which, by the time of diagnosis, was advanced and terminal. The client had to stop working in a job which she loved and suffered an avoidable terminal diagnosis, a significantly reduced life expectancy and her avoidable death at just 50 years old.

ANON v NHS Trust

I settled this claim for £500,000 for a grieving widow whose husband died unexpectedly due to a failure to diagnose and treat the deceased’s aortic dissection.

ANON v Dr

I settled this claim for £385,000. The claim related to a 4-year delay in diagnosing the client’s prostate cancer. The client was denied the opportunity of receiving curative treatment of his prostate cancer, which, by the time of diagnosis, was advanced and terminal. As a result of the negligence, the client underwent avoidable chemotherapy and hormone therapy. The client suffered an avoidable terminal diagnosis, a significantly reduced life expectancy and his avoidable death. Eventually, he had to stop working in a job which he loved.

ANON v NHS Trust

I settled this claim for £135,000 for a gentleman who was rendered infertile after a negligently performed orchidectomy following an incorrect suspected cancer diagnosis. I recovered compensation for him and his wife to undergo IVF. The couple had a baby girl in December 2024. The costs of the IVF were recovered from the Defendant, with additional costs for future IVF secured for when my client and his wife are ready to expand their family.

ANON v NHS Trust

I settled this claim for £275,000. This claim related to a negligently performed knee replacement surgery which resulted in my client requiring a revision knee replacement and suffer ongoing pain, suffering, loss of amenity, reduced function and reduced mobility. The client had to take early retirement from her role as a medical secretary within the NHS as a result of the negligence. It is likely that the client will require a further revision knee replacement in the future as a result of the defendant’s negligence.

ANON v NHS Trust

I settled this claim for £120,000. This claim related to a delay in diagnosing and treating the client’s meniscus tear, which he sustained whilst playing football. By the time the client’s meniscus tear was diagnosed and operated on, the meniscus was no longer repairable, and the only option was to undergo a meniscectomy. The client is likely to have to undergo meniscal allograft surgery in the future as a result of the negligence. He was 16 at the time of the injury / negligence and was an avid football player and an aspiring police officer. As a result of the negligence, the client was no longer able to play football and was unable to join the police force. He therefore suffered a loss of earnings and loss of police pension.

What I enjoy most about my role is building relationships with my clients. I enjoy having the opportunity to specialise in cancer and avoidable death claims and getting to help the clients which I am passionate about helping and caring for. I enjoy working with my Team Leader – we work very well together to support our clients and our team, which helps build the success of the team.

I love spending time outdoors, going for walks in nature with my dog, Frank and rewarding myself at the end with a nice crisp pint or glass of wine (and a pub roast dinner if I’m really pushing the boat out!). I have a motorhome which is my little haven of peace and love spending time in the Lake District.

I love spending time with my family. I have a 6-year-old niece with cerebral palsy who is my little best mate. I volunteer at Rainbow Hub (a charity in Mawdsley which provides children and young people with physical disabilities as a result of a neurological condition or brain injury with child brain injury rehab services). I love going on holiday. I love reading a good book and love psychological thrillers and crime documentaries.
