Who am I

I’m a Partner and Solicitor with over twelve years’ experience specialising in medical product liability. My work focuses on representing people who have been harmed by defective medical devices, implants and treatments — often after placing their trust in products designed to improve their health. I support clients who may be dealing with pain, uncertainty and a loss of confidence in the systems they relied on, helping them understand what has happened and what their options are.

I have extensive experience in complex group litigation, working on cases involving large numbers of claimants affected by the same defective product. I recently contributed to the 2026 Chambers and Partners Product Liability Guide and Trends Article, reflecting my commitment to advancing specialist knowledge in this area.

Why I do this work

I specialise in medical product liability because defective medical products can have a profound and often life-changing impact on people who trusted them to improve their health. Many clients come to us feeling unheard or unsure where to turn, particularly when their injuries form part of a wider pattern affecting many others. Group action work gives claimants strength in numbers and helps level the playing field against large manufacturers, and I am motivated by helping clients understand what has happened, access justice and secure accountability in cases where harm should never have occurred.

How I work with clients

My approach is empathetic, clear and strategic. Clients affected by defective medical products are often dealing with pain, uncertainty and a loss of trust, so I take time to listen carefully and explain each stage in plain language. I am tenacious in investigating the evidence, working with medical and technical experts, and building robust claims against manufacturers and distributors, while helping clients feel part of something collective in group actions and recognising the very personal impact the product has had on their lives.

Outcomes

ANON

I acted in a group action concerning defective metal hip implants that released toxic metal debris, causing pain, inflammation and implant failure. Many clients expected improved mobility and quality of life, but instead faced worsening symptoms and further revision surgeries. The claims were resolved by way of a confidential settlement agreement.

My team

Our Medical Product Liability team combines specialist legal expertise with a genuinely collaborative approach. These cases require careful coordination of legal strategy, medical evidence, product knowledge and expert input, particularly where large groups of claimants have been affected by the same defective product. The team has extensive experience in complex group litigation involving products such as transvaginal mesh, metal-on-metal hip implants and other defective medical devices.

What makes the team stand out is the blend of technical knowledge, compassion and determination to secure justice for people who may otherwise struggle to be heard.

What I enjoy about working at Fletchers

I joined Fletchers around twelve months ago to help establish and grow a dedicated medical product liability department. I enjoy the intellectual challenge of working on legally and medically complex cases, particularly where wider issues affect large groups of people and careful evidence-gathering and strategy are essential.

What I value most is the opportunity to combine specialist litigation with work that has a real human impact, supported by a collaborative and experienced team.
