Who am I

I’m a Clinical Negligence Solicitor working within Fletchers’ Spinal Injury Unit, specialising in high-value claims involving spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and strokes.

I’ve been part of Fletchers for over nine years, during which time I completed my Legal Practice Course (LPC) part-time while working within the firm, achieving a distinction.

Why I do this work

When clients first contact us, it is often one of the darkest times of their lives. Everything has changed for them within a very short space of time, and they have lost trust in people they should have been able to trust. My aim is to help and get them the rehabilitation, housing and care that they need for the remainder of their life, and to allow them to see that there is still a future ahead of them. It’s really rewarding work.

How I work with clients

I feel that clients are able to put their trust in me. They know that I am always there to listen to any issues that they have, no matter how big or small they are, and to guide them through the legal process, which can be quite daunting for someone that has never been through the process before.

Outcomes

Client feedback – “Sarah was amazing, very professional caring and considerate. She’s fought so hard for me and I really appreciated Sarah and her team’s efforts.”

“Sarah has been so understanding and supportive since she has been my case handler. I am so glad it has come to the right outcome and I know it has been because of Sarah’s hard work.”

My team

I work within a strong spinal injuries team handling catastrophic cases, ensuring we secure sufficient funds for clients’ lifelong needs by instructing specialist experts and considering the full impact of their injuries, including physical, psychological and social effects.

What I enjoy about working at Fletchers

I’ve been at Fletchers for nearly 10 years now, and I secured my training contract here too. One of the things I like the most about Fletchers is that everybody is so supportive, not just while working on cases, but also with your own individual goals. The flexible working is also really helpful, and I enjoy having the flexibility of being able to visit our different offices.

Outside of work

When I’m not working, my main hobby is horse riding. I compete with my horses regularly at shows and this takes up most of my time outside of work. It’s a real passion of mine.
