Rob Plummer

I lead technology, cyber security and technical operations throughout the business, and I’m responsible for achieving a structured, aligned and trusted IT and security infrastructure to support growth. I have over 20 years’ experience in IT and Security, and in that time, I have worked across energy, finance, manufacturing, education and tech sectors. I specialise in the world of Infrastructure, Security and Governance, and I’ve spoken at events on the topic of Technology and Cyber Security.

My specialism is ensuring that the business’s focus on growth and strategic improvement, has everything required from a technology, security, and innovation perspective. My role is to ensure that technology and security are embedded into and support the wider strategic direction of the business. At Fletchers, being a secure and technology enabled business is not just something we do, it’s something we truly believe in.

My clients are everyone from the employees here at Fletchers through to the clients of my clients. To really understand what the business needs, I need to understand what drives my clients. Always listening, always learning and being extra nosey.

We can all talk about culture, progression, and the benefits that Fletchers offers, but the two things that stand out to me most are the sense of purpose and fulfilment that comes from knowing the business is there to support people through some of the most difficult times in their lives – while fighting for a better future for the people we support.

My family is at the centre of who I am, and life outside of work is very much focused around my three young children. I’m passionate about my work and enjoy the fast-paced nature of the technology and cyber world. To switch off and recharge, my go to is putting on my headphones, listening to music, and spending an hour or two in the gym, which helps me maintain focus and balance.
