I am the Responsible Business Manager at Fletchers Group, and I am also the Director of Fletchers Foundation – our charitable foundation that helps individuals and their families to thrive following a serious injury, accident, or illness.

I believe that businesses can be a force for good. By balancing profit with purpose and creating positive social, environmental, and ethical impact, all while engaging all stakeholders, it can make a real difference to people and communities.

I’ve worked at companies that are profit driven but not purposeful, and I’ve also worked for a charity that wasn’t business minded, and neither inspired me.

At Fletchers we live by being profitable and purposeful every day, which is why my team and I are so inspired to deliver our Responsible Business Agenda.

As Director of Fletchers Foundation, I work with our clients who have not been successful with a legal claim. Our legal colleagues will then signpost them to Fletchers Foundation to apply for a grant.

As the director, it’s then my role to review the grants and balance them against funding available and what would be good for the Foundation. I’ll then work with the grant applicants either through approving a grant or signposting them to other charities if we’re not able to.

As Responsible Business Manager, I oversee policies and initiatives that improve our culture and business operations. This includes areas like diversity and inclusion, community investment, and sustainability. As well as this, as Director of Fletchers Foundation, I work closely with trustees, colleagues, and external stakeholders to deliver the Foundation’s vision, ensuring impactful community support and investments.

I’m extremely passionate about what I do, because it allows me to drive meaningful change within the company and our surrounding communities. I’ve worked at Fletchers for four years and I’ve had a lot of opportunities presented to me that I wouldn’t have had anywhere else.

My biggest passion is seeing the world with my husband. In the decade we have been together, we have visited 25 countries together and we are eager to tick more off the list. When we’re not planning holidays, I’m at the gym or out walking my sausage dog, Wilfred. Fun fact – I was a backing dancer for a ten-minute live performance from Jane McDonald.
