Who am I
I’m a Solicitor, Associate and Team Leader in our Clinical Negligence department, specialising in brain and spinal injuries.
I’ve dedicated my career as a solicitor to representing injured people. I joined Fletchers in 2020 in the capacity of Specialist Litigator, before quickly transferring to the Serious Injury team. As Team Leader I now manage and supervise a clinical negligence caseload of serious and catastrophic injuries.
Why I do this work
I do this work because I want to help those affected by negligence and their families. I want to get them answers to what happened, what went wrong, and find out if it should have been avoided. I want to help recover the compensation they need to help rebuild their lives and ease some of the challenges they face.
How I work with clients
I like to take the time to listen to my clients and understand their needs. Those conversations normally start by telephone, although we have seen the benefit of video calling more recently, which helps put a face to the name. As the case progresses, I like to meet with clients, ideally in their own environment, to help better understand any day-to-day challenges they may be facing.
I strive to make my advice to clients clear, detailed and thorough. I explain any legal concepts in an understandable way and encourage questions from clients. When pursuing their cases with our opponents, I want to work collaboratively to try to enable swift resolutions when the time comes to settle. But I’m not afraid to pursue cases through the courts when needed and have done so countless times before.

My team
Our clinical negligence team specialises in serious and life-changing injury, and brain and spinal injuries in particular. We have a team with the skills and experience to achieve excellent results while placing client care at the heart of what we do.
What I enjoy about working at Fletchers
I enjoy the complexity of the work we do, the meticulous preparation for getting a case ready for settlement and the immense feeling of satisfaction once the right result is achieved for our clients. I find Fletchers to be a progressive and innovative firm that still puts clients first and prioritises a welcoming, friendly, flexible and inclusive environment for staff. I really enjoy my role as Team Leader and getting together with my team and the wider Clinical Negligence department on our office days. Despite dealing with some very sad and difficult cases, we also enjoy our work and try to have fun together as a team when we can.

Outside of work
When I’m not working, I love to travel, play and watch sport, and spend time with my wife, our families and friends (furry as well as human). My wife and I are avid travellers and are usually counting the days until our next trip. I’m a keen golfer and skier, and also enjoy running, swimming and some water sports, reading, music, food (cooking but especially eating), gritty drama shows, and (most of the time at least…) watching league football.
