Dan Taylor

I have extensive experience in Finance, Operations, and Technology, and I’m responsible for ensuring that all people, processes, and systems are integrated across the Group to maximise the potential of our acquisitions.

I’m an accountant by profession, having trained at Deloitte, and I hold an MA in Business Management. Since joining Fletchers in 1997, I’ve held several Directorships across Finance, Operations, and Technology, before taking on my current role as Director of Integration within the Mergers and Acquisitions team in 2022.

My motivation has always been twofold: to continually develop my own expertise and to ensure that every legal support function I lead operates at its very best. Ultimately, my focus is on providing our legal teams with the strongest possible support, so they can deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

The New Acquisitions team has a unique blend of skillsets with leaders in Legal Process, IT, Project Finance, Business Integration, HR, Project Management, Strategic Change and Business Analysis. Having this range of specialisms in one team enables us to seamlessly bring new businesses into our group and ensure the transition for the new clients and the incoming employees is as smooth as possible.

I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to lead on our Finance, Operations, Technology, and M&A Legal support functions over the last 30 years and to be involved in helping our company grow in these areas from a small high street multi-disciplinary legal practice, to a national specialist PI practice that helps thousands of clients each year.

My career progression opportunities are manifest by the various leadership roles I’ve been given and being able to build specialisms in so many areas including leading on the opening of every new office for the last 25 years. My career standouts would be designing and developing our first AI software 10 years ago which has helped thousands of clients in the legal decision making process.

But the thing I’ve always enjoyed the most about my time in Fletchers – and is what has kept me here so long – is our welcoming, supportive and inclusive culture, and the different groups of people I’ve been lucky enough to work with over the years.

My main passions outside of work are spending time with my amazing family. My other passion is music and playing the bass in my band which I’ve been in for 30 years, joining just after I started at Fletchers. We’ve played up and down the country to many people over the decades – and are still playing regularly today. We’ve recorded 7 studio albums of our own original music which get lots of airplay on Spotify and Apple Music!
