Who am I
I’m currently a Paralegal and a CILEX trainee lawyer, continuing to develop my skills and knowledge. I began my career in personal injury law, gaining valuable experience before the COVID lockdown. I later spent time working in conveyancing, but quickly realised my passion lies in supporting clients through personal injury cases Being able to help people navigate challenging times and make a tangible difference in their lives is what drew me back up North and continues to inspire my work every day.
What I specialise in
Why I do this work
I work within the Inquiry Team, supporting clients involved in Public Inquiries and any related personal injury, civil, or CICA claims. I’m driven by a strong desire to bring clarity and fairness to areas of law that are often complex, inconsistent, and difficult for people to navigate – especially at times when they are already dealing with significant trauma.
I’m especially motivated by the opportunity to support people who have been affected by serious incidents. Being able to stand alongside them as they look for answers, understanding and a way forward is really important to me. I take great care in helping clients through what can be some of the most difficult times in their lives, offering reassurance and support along the way.
I’m also inspired by the chance to contribute to meaningful change. Whether that’s helping to improve how things are done or ensuring lessons are learned to help prevent similar situations in the future.
How I work with clients
My approach is centred on listening and understanding, ensuring every client feels heard and supported. I take the time to understand the details of their case and their daily life, tailoring advice and settlement strategies to their individual needs. I combine empathy with tenacity, following up on their behalf while remaining approachable and responsive, so clients feel confident that their voice guides the process and their best interests are at the heart of every decision.

Outcomes
The Southport and Nottingham inquiries are in the process of providing the families with clarity that the tragic incidents were avoidable, helping many to gain a sense of closure. For some clients, this clarity has sparked a determination to push for guideline and policy changes to prevent similar tragedies in the future. While the two inquiries involve very different groups: one representing children who suffered physical and psychological injuries, and the other representing the family of a man who was murdered, both sets of clients face immense challenges yet share similar hopes: understanding what happened, achieving justice, and ensuring meaningful changes come from their experience.
My team
Each team member manages their own CICA clients while working collaboratively to support all clients throughout the inquiry process. We share responsibilities to ensure nothing is missed, deadlines are met, and clients receive timely, coordinated support at every stage.
What I enjoy about working at Fletchers
I currently work in our Inquiry team, supporting clients through inquiries and, in some cases, CICA claims. While the work is very different from my previous experience, I find it incredibly rewarding to support people during some of the most challenging times in their lives, helping them find clarity, closure and a sense of empowerment.
I’m proud to have played a role in building this team from the ground up. The variety and complexity of the work keeps me engaged and continually learning, and I’ve benefited from excellent development opportunities, including starting my CILEX training with the support of Fletchers. The strong team culture, flexibility and opportunity to specialise make my role both rewarding and inspiring.

Outside of work
I have a really big family, and my parents foster a number of children, so I usually spend weekends with them, making memories and enjoying family time. I enjoy going to Pilates to stay active, and I also like spending time outdoors and appreciating what life has to offer. These moments help me recharge and stay grounded, making the most of both my personal time and my hobbies.
