Who am I

I’m a Partner and Solicitor with over 20 years’ experience in personal injury and loss recovery. I’ve been supporting clients in recovering their losses since 2003. Over the course of my career, I’ve built extensive experience across a wide range of matters, including road traffic accidents, credit hire, and employers’, public, and occupiers’ liability claims.

I also studied Biochemistry and Management at the University of Liverpool before converting to law at the College of Law in Christleton.

Why I do this work

I’m passionate about helping people. After a serious accident, injuries can have a lasting impact not only on the individual but also on their family and those closest to them. I value being able to support and guide clients through what can be an incredibly difficult time.

What I find most rewarding is that every case is different, because every client’s situation is unique. This allows me to take a personal approach, ensuring each client feels understood and supported.

How I work with clients

I pride myself on being a good listener and taking the time to understand each client’s concerns. I make sure to explain the steps we’ll take to address those concerns in a clear and straightforward way, so clients always feel informed and reassured throughout the process.

I want my clients to feel confident in what’s happening and why. Many have told me that, once their claim is resolved, a real weight has been lifted from their shoulders, allowing them to move forward and put the experience behind them.

Outcomes

Anon

Clients are often concerned about factors such as being able to return to work, being able to earn money to cover the cost of living, by explaining the claims process.

Interim payments obtained helped to ease financial burdens and the taking into account of the possibility of future issues due to ongoing symptoms means that the client had less anxiety about the same. Clients often report that the claims process does cause stress and it is lovely to hear that the clients are relieved and happy when settlement is discussed and agreed.

My team

I work in our personal injury team under Emma Hughes, with Danielle Allen as our Head of Department, my colleague Julie Cross works alongside me and we have worked together for over 5 years, Julie is extremely tenacious in chasing down essential medical records and overdue payments for clients.

What I enjoy about working at Fletchers

I’m enjoying my time at Fletchers. I like working in personal injury law as it’s constantly evolving, and I enjoy learning from new case law and considering how I can apply it to benefit my clients. I‘ve also been involved in charity work alongside other team members and have taken part in testing AI systems as an aid to our work. I feel privileged and proud to hold the position of Partner.

Outside of work

I’m married and have two children. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors and love taking our cocker spaniel for walks on the beach or in the countryside. My son is a keen bird watcher and also plays football, which keeps us very busy. Personally, I enjoy running and surfing, and we regularly travel to Cornwall (Bude) to enjoy the sea.
