Abigail Fowler

I’m a Litigation Executive with extensive knowledge in handling claims at all stages from initial assessment to resolution. I began my legal career in clinical negligence, where I first developed a strong interest in supporting clients through complex and often life-changing experiences.

I’ve since broadened my experience across a range of areas including employers’ and public liability, road traffic accidents, financial mis-selling, and housing disrepair.

Over nine years’ experience across different fields has strengthened my litigation skills and my approach to client care. I eventually returned to clinical negligence, as it is the area I find most engaging and rewarding. It’s where the work feels most meaningful to me, and where I believe I can make the greatest difference for my clients.

I believe that when mistakes happen in healthcare, patients and their families deserve answers as well as reassurance that lessons will be learned. I’m motivated by the knowledge that this work not only supports those who have been harmed but can also help improve patient safety more widely. It’s a privilege to support clients through what is often a very difficult time.

I also have a particular interest in dental negligence. Dental injuries can significantly affect a person’s daily life, confidence, and long-term health, yet they are often overlooked. I’m driven by helping clients understand what went wrong and supporting them in accessing the treatment they need.

I build strong, trusting relationships with my clients by taking the time to listen, understand their concerns, and support them through what is often a difficult experience. I pride myself on being patient and approachable, and I value clear, honest conversations that help clients feel reassured and informed at every stage of their case.

I also place importance on maintaining constructive relationships with the other side, which can help cases progress smoothly and support fair, efficient outcomes for my clients.

Within our team, each member brings a wealth of experience allowing us to combine our expertise to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients. We work closely and collaboratively, and genuinely get along well, which creates a supportive and positive environment for both colleagues and clients.

Working at Fletchers has given me the opportunity to develop my career in a supportive and collaborative environment. I particularly value the interesting and meaningful nature of the work we do, especially the ability to help clients through some of the most challenging moments in their lives.

I find the role genuinely fulfilling, and I really appreciate the variety and complexity of the cases I’m involved in.

I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, and travelling whenever I get the chance. I love exploring new places and learning about different cultures, and I find that reading and podcasts are a great way to unwind while still discovering something new.
