Justice for Taxi Driver Who Suffered Medical Negligence Following Neck Fracture

Our client was involved in a road traffic accident, suffering a fractured neck. Following treatment, the hospital team discharged the client with a soft collar, despite advice that he should have been in a hard collar.  

While in the soft collar, the fracture unfortunately widened, which caused long-term difficulties for our client.  

Impact on the client 

The negligence has had a significant impact on our client. Unfortunately, he has been left with a permanent deformity, and he still experiences pain due to the injury. The client couldn’t work for a long period following the incident, because of the effect on his physical and mental health.  

The case

There were some complexities surrounding liability, with the defendant hospital making attempts to blame another hospital. However, we stood firm as the evidence pointed to liability being solely with the hospital who discharged the client with the incorrect collar.
